Join to Take Surveys and More

Take paid surveys and participate in product tests and focus groups with American Consumer Opinion. Join the site by navigating to the ACOP website and become a member by creating an account using your Facebook, Google, or Apple account, or simply your email address.

Once you have entered a few personal details, you will be sent a confirmation email to the email address you registered. After you’ve completed this, you will be transferred back to the American Consumer Opinion dashboard and you will see a list of surveys you’ll be eligible to take.

Participate to Earn Rewards

Every survey you see listed on ACOP's website will show the number of points you can earn for completing it. You can either log in regularly to the website to check for new survey opportunities, or opt in to receive emails whenever a new survey becomes available. Alternatively, you may provide your cell phone number in order to be notified by text when a new paid survey becomes available.

Once you've participated in just $10 (1000 points) worth of online surveys, you can redeem your points for a cash reward or a gift card of your choosing.

Payment and Rewards

Rack up Points

Each time you take a survey, you will earn points for your opinions. Screener surveys (short surveys) are worth between 5 – 50 points, or an entry into a monthly draw, and are 20 questions or less. Longer surveys offer points ranging from 100 – 5,000.

Points Value: 1,000 points = $10.00. 1 ACOP point therefore equals 1 cent.

Great Reward Options

As a panelist of ACOP, you must have a 1,000 point minimum balance ($10 worth) to redeem your points. Once you have reached this minimum, you may redeem your balance for the following options:

  • PayPal: For most countries, use PayPal to cash out your earnings in a simple and easy manner. If you decide to use PayPal as your cash out option, make sure your PayPal email matches the email you used to sign up with American Consumer Opinion.
  • Hyperwallet: Like PayPal, Hyperwallet is a user-friendly payment platform that operates in 170+ countries. Allow 8-12 weeks for payment and receive a confirmation email once your money is available.
  • Sweepstakes Cash Out: Use your points toward sweepstakes entries that give you a chance to win a variety of lucrative prizes. (Note that once a sweepstakes has been entered using your points, you do not get your points back, even if you are not selected as a winner).
  • Charity Donations: Choose to donate your money to a variety of credible charities.

Survey Taking Experience

American Consumer Opinion Surveys

ACOP offers online surveys to its members that are interesting and quick, with the average survey taking approximately 10 minutes to complete.

In addition to online surveys, participate in other research opportunities such as product testing, focus groups, and judging the newest advertising campaigns. You can expect to receive invitations for participation from American Consumer Opinion several times a year.

Member's Tip! Ensure you add [email protected] to your approved senders list to ensure you receive survey invitation emails in your inbox.

Household Surveys

A few times a year ACOP sends out a survey that pertains to each household. The survey asks what products and services you use on a day-to-day basis. If you participate in this survey, you will be more likely to receive additional future survey invitations, which can translate into earning more points!

A battle to get paid, every time!!

April 25, 2017 by Ed from United States

This company is the absolute WORST! Multiple surveys available each week, but good luck getting paid. It is the end of April and I am still waiting for a payment I requested in November. In November I was promised payment in 6-8 weeks, we are now at 5.5 months. I also requested another $10 in early January, after their payment policy changed to 8-12 weeks (a BAD SIGN). This payment is also overdue. Each of my payment requests in 2016 required multiple email follow ups before I was finally paid.
I've had enough with ACOP. My time has value. Next step for me will be contacting BBB. DO NOT, under any circumstances, join ACOP. I will be quitting as soon as I am paid.

No payment as of yet

April 21, 2017 by Jackie from United States

I've already gotten the email excuse and a terse reply stating that "They know the payment is late and will send an email when my payment will be sent. I checked their Facebook page and left a comment where others had also complained. After checking that same posting on Facebook a day later, they had deleted everyone's negative comments about not getting paid. I think a note to the BBB is in order.

If you're not getting paid: FILE with the BBB

April 14, 2017 by Sarah from United States

I had the same problem with ACOP -- they weren't paying in a timely manner, had to wait while they sent email excuse after email excuse, so I finally filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau of Central Texas, because I read on here that someone else did the same thing. They got paid so I figured I'd get paid too. Maybe a week after I filed with the BBB, I got a snotty email from ACOP detailing all of the excuses they had sent in their earlier emails, and then payment was sent maybe two days later. I immediately deleted my account and won't ever sign up with them again.
