How ACOP Works
Join to Take Surveys and More
Take paid surveys and participate in product tests and focus groups with American Consumer Opinion. Join the site by navigating to the ACOP website and become a member by creating an account using your Facebook, Google, or Apple account, or simply your email address.
Once you have entered a few personal details, you will be sent a confirmation email to the email address you registered. After you’ve completed this, you will be transferred back to the American Consumer Opinion dashboard and you will see a list of surveys you’ll be eligible to take.
Participate to Earn Rewards
Every survey you see listed on ACOP's website will show the number of points you can earn for completing it. You can either log in regularly to the website to check for new survey opportunities, or opt in to receive emails whenever a new survey becomes available. Alternatively, you may provide your cell phone number in order to be notified by text when a new paid survey becomes available.
Once you've participated in just $10 (1000 points) worth of online surveys, you can redeem your points for a cash reward or a gift card of your choosing.

Rack up Points
Each time you take a survey, you will earn points for your opinions. Screener surveys (short surveys) are worth between 5 – 50 points, or an entry into a monthly draw, and are 20 questions or less. Longer surveys offer points ranging from 100 – 5,000.
Great Reward Options
As a panelist of ACOP, you must have a 1,000 point minimum balance ($10 worth) to redeem your points. Once you have reached this minimum, you may redeem your balance for the following options:
- PayPal: For most countries, use PayPal to cash out your earnings in a simple and easy manner. If you decide to use PayPal as your cash out option, make sure your PayPal email matches the email you used to sign up with American Consumer Opinion.
- Hyperwallet: Like PayPal, Hyperwallet is a user-friendly payment platform that operates in 170+ countries. Allow 8-12 weeks for payment and receive a confirmation email once your money is available.
- Sweepstakes Cash Out: Use your points toward sweepstakes entries that give you a chance to win a variety of lucrative prizes. (Note that once a sweepstakes has been entered using your points, you do not get your points back, even if you are not selected as a winner).
- Charity Donations: Choose to donate your money to a variety of credible charities.
Survey Taking Experience
American Consumer Opinion Surveys
ACOP offers online surveys to its members that are interesting and quick, with the average survey taking approximately 10 minutes to complete.
In addition to online surveys, participate in other research opportunities such as product testing, focus groups, and judging the newest advertising campaigns. You can expect to receive invitations for participation from American Consumer Opinion several times a year.
Member's Tip! Ensure you add [email protected] to your approved senders list to ensure you receive survey invitation emails in your inbox.
Household Surveys
A few times a year ACOP sends out a survey that pertains to each household. The survey asks what products and services you use on a day-to-day basis. If you participate in this survey, you will be more likely to receive additional future survey invitations, which can translate into earning more points!

I always enjoy the surveys they send, but there is not enough pay out of incentives.

I joined a couple of months ago. Took several surveys and accrued some money. Requested it go to my Paypal account. It never showed up and now my account seems to have been deleted. Says my email does not exist.
Only giving one star because I can't submit with zero.

I've been with American Consumer Opinion for 10 years. You earn points for the surveys you take. Each point is equal to $0.01. Cash out is at 1,000 points ($10). When you cash out, payment will not show up in your account for another 8 - 12 weeks. I've never had any issues with American Consumer Opinion, but in 10 years it has taken me an average of 2 years just to make the 1,000 point threshold in order to cash out.

Hi Lisa,Thank you for taking the time to write a review. While it's true that it does take some members longer to reach the cashout threshold, our cash-out process is much faster than the 8-12 weeks mentioned.
Our PayPal cashouts are processed once a week, so you can expect to receive your payment between 1 and 8 days from requesting payment.
If you're concerned about receiving more qualifying opportunities, please reach out to our help reps at [email protected]. There could be a technical or other issue that can be remedied.

At best, they pay 50 cents per 20 minutes of your time. They applaud themselves by entering people in impossible-to-win lotteries for awards.
Stay away. There are much better sites online for your time (Crowdtap for one).

Hello Carolyne,Thank you for taking the time to write a review. While there are some surveys that only pay 50 Points, these are usually pulled into our API from outside companies.
Our in-house surveys pay much, much more than that. Generally, you can expect to receive 300-400 Points for 20 minutes of your time when you complete an in-house survey.
