Alternatively, you may provide your cell phone number in order to be notified by text when a new paid survey becomes available.

Payment and Rewards

Rack up Points

Each time you take a survey, you will earn points for your opinions. Screener surveys (short surveys) are worth between 5 – 50 points, or an entry into a monthly draw, and are 20 questions or less. Longer surveys offer points ranging from 100 – 5,000.

Points Value: 1,000 points = $10.00. 1 ACOP point therefore equals 1 cent.

Great Reward Options

As a panelist of ACOP, you must have a 1,000 point minimum balance ($10 worth) to redeem your points. Once you have reached this minimum, you may redeem your balance for the following options:

  • PayPal: For most countries, use PayPal to cash out your earnings in a simple and easy manner. If you decide to use PayPal as your cash out option, make sure your PayPal email matches the email you used to sign up with American Consumer Opinion.
  • Hyperwallet: Like PayPal, Hyperwallet is a user-friendly payment platform that operates in 170+ countries. Allow 8-12 weeks for payment and receive a confirmation email once your money is available.
  • Sweepstakes Cash Out: Use your points toward sweepstakes entries that give you a chance to win a variety of lucrative prizes. (Note that once a sweepstakes has been entered using your points, you do not get your points back, even if you are not selected as a winner).
  • Charity Donations: Choose to donate your money to a variety of credible charities.

Survey Taking Experience

American Consumer Opinion Surveys

ACOP offers online surveys to its members that are interesting and quick, with the average survey taking approximately 10 minutes to complete.

In addition to online surveys, participate in other research opportunities such as product testing, focus groups, and judging the newest advertising campaigns. You can expect to receive invitations for participation from American Consumer Opinion several times a year.

Member's Tip! Ensure you add [email protected] to your approved senders list to ensure you receive survey invitation emails in your inbox.

Household Surveys

A few times a year ACOP sends out a survey that pertains to each household. The survey asks what products and services you use on a day-to-day basis. If you participate in this survey, you will be more likely to receive additional future survey invitations, which can translate into earning more points!

Gave Up Waiting To Get Paid

January 6, 2015 by Joyce from United States

Over 12 months and still no payout. Not sure what their game is anymore, but they need to be SHUT DOWN immediately. I'd really like to give them a NEGATIVE five stars, they're that slimy in their business practices.

Another death in Texas

January 6, 2015 by Sue from United States

I too have made numerous requests for payment from this company and also noticed their failure to pay beginning early 2014. They simply ignore requests and then have lied by sending an e-mail before 12/25 saying a check was in the mail. Not! All I want is what is owed to me and then I will never do anymore surveys with them. I have not answered one now in 3 weeks. I think contacting the state of Texas to inquire who is the person listed as CEO for this corporation and begin to annoy them until they take action. I will drag this company through the mud on every social media outlet that I can access so they can feel my frustration level. Do not waste your time with these bloodsuckers.

Used to be a pretty decent site

January 5, 2015 by B. from United States

Update: 01/05/15 - It has been over 12 weeks since I've requested a cash out and still NOTHING. I'm so annoyed. They have deleted their old BBB account (I guess since they have so many bad ratings) and their Facebook page will not allow for your to comment. I've reported them to the BBB AGAIN! I can't wait for this to go through so that I can cancel my account. Maybe if I start complaining to these folks (http://www.decisionanalyst.com/Contact.dai) maybe it will get done quicker? This is so unacceptable!

When I first joined ACOP, I like it. I received frequent survey invitations, the cash out policy was reasonable, and the I received my money in a fair amount of time. I would say since about Feb 2014, they have TOTALLY fell off. It went from 2-4 weeks to receive my cash out to 6-8 weeks and even then they are still late. I would say they are actually averaging 12 weeks to get payments out. And the only reason why it has been 12 weeks is because I reported them to the BBB. I'm pretty sure if I didn't, I'd still be waiting on my cash outs. They really need to get it together.

Haven't paid me

January 3, 2015 by Deborah from Australia

I redeemed my points in mid-Aug last year and they still haven't paid me. I have emailed them twice, getting back a generic response about notifying the accounts department. I don't think I'll be paid somehow. Bad show ACP

Where's the money?

January 2, 2015 by John from United States

I've been waiting, and waiting and waiting since August of 2014 for my payment. Nothing, Nada, Zip, Zilch..... Numerous emails both by emailing and through the contact information on their site and not even a response back.
Is it time to write you off? Why are you still sending out surveys?
UPDATE.........
It's now almost a month since I was sent an email saying that the payment was being sent to the accounting department. NOTHING!

DO NOT SIGN UP WITH AMERICAN CONSUMER OPINION!
WILL MOST LIKELY HAVE TO WRITE THIS OFF!
OBVIOUSLY THEY'RE BROKE!

****** UPDATE

It took 4 months of emailing weekly towards the end, but I FINALLY GOT PAID....... Surveys are always reviewed before your points are awarded. I've been on their system using Paypal for almost the last 4 years.... Their one email stated that they had to verify all Paypal emails..... How can this be after they've been sending me my cash for the last 4 years using Paypal? I received the same excuse, "I'll send it to the accounting department", again and again. SurveyPolice, rating should be 0, not .5
