Join to Take Surveys and More

Take paid surveys and participate in product tests and focus groups with American Consumer Opinion. Join the site by navigating to the ACOP website and become a member by creating an account using your Facebook, Google, or Apple account, or simply your email address.

Once you have entered a few personal details, you will be sent a confirmation email to the email address you registered. After you’ve completed this, you will be transferred back to the American Consumer Opinion dashboard and you will see a list of surveys you’ll be eligible to take.

Participate to Earn Rewards

Every survey you see listed on ACOP's website will show the number of points you can earn for completing it. You can either log in regularly to the website to check for new survey opportunities, or opt in to receive emails whenever a new survey becomes available. Alternatively, you may provide your cell phone number in order to be notified by text when a new paid survey becomes available.

Once you've participated in just $10 (1000 points) worth of online surveys, you can redeem your points for a cash reward or a gift card of your choosing.

Payment and Rewards

Rack up Points

Each time you take a survey, you will earn points for your opinions. Screener surveys (short surveys) are worth between 5 – 50 points, or an entry into a monthly draw, and are 20 questions or less. Longer surveys offer points ranging from 100 – 5,000.

Points Value: 1,000 points = $10.00. 1 ACOP point therefore equals 1 cent.

Great Reward Options

As a panelist of ACOP, you must have a 1,000 point minimum balance ($10 worth) to redeem your points. Once you have reached this minimum, you may redeem your balance for the following options:

  • PayPal: For most countries, use PayPal to cash out your earnings in a simple and easy manner. If you decide to use PayPal as your cash out option, make sure your PayPal email matches the email you used to sign up with American Consumer Opinion.
  • Hyperwallet: Like PayPal, Hyperwallet is a user-friendly payment platform that operates in 170+ countries. Allow 8-12 weeks for payment and receive a confirmation email once your money is available.
  • Sweepstakes Cash Out: Use your points toward sweepstakes entries that give you a chance to win a variety of lucrative prizes. (Note that once a sweepstakes has been entered using your points, you do not get your points back, even if you are not selected as a winner).
  • Charity Donations: Choose to donate your money to a variety of credible charities.

Survey Taking Experience

American Consumer Opinion Surveys

ACOP offers online surveys to its members that are interesting and quick, with the average survey taking approximately 10 minutes to complete.

In addition to online surveys, participate in other research opportunities such as product testing, focus groups, and judging the newest advertising campaigns. You can expect to receive invitations for participation from American Consumer Opinion several times a year.

Member's Tip! Ensure you add [email protected] to your approved senders list to ensure you receive survey invitation emails in your inbox.

Household Surveys

A few times a year ACOP sends out a survey that pertains to each household. The survey asks what products and services you use on a day-to-day basis. If you participate in this survey, you will be more likely to receive additional future survey invitations, which can translate into earning more points!

I give up

member for 6 months and account balance still says $0.00.

Have left this panel to concentrate on ones that actually pay out

Finally, a fair survey site

January 14, 2012 by Joshua from United States

American Consumer Opinion Panel is one of the easiest sites I have ever had to deal with. I have been doing surveys for only about 2 months or so and I have made $27, $15 of that coming from trying out a product. That $27 came from just four surveys that I have done: $3 survey, $4 survey, $5 survey, and a $15 survey. The key is when you are doing the screener to see if you qualify, if you actually do qualify for the survey, you will most likely be invited to it right after the screener and it will be just one survey put together, the screener and the survey itself. You just have to understand how they are set up, and I highly recommend them to anyone that needs a simple and reliable company to work with.

Joined two months ago and received 1 survey

November 19, 2011 by Kevin from United States

Is this a good company? Do they pay and well? I cannot provide any guidance as I have only received 1 survey since I joined.

I did receive the Anne Parks letter starting that I should fill in all of the presurvey questions on their site. I invested thirty minutes got basically nothing.

Severely Member Hostile Company

June 29, 2011 by Cathy from United States

I had the same experience as the last three posters. Moreover I was due $15 for a home test, a test of a very personal type of product. I put aside my routines for weeks, filled out paperwork and mailed it back in a timely fashion. I did not ask to re-enroll, merely to be remunerated for my diligence in regard to this sensitive home test. No dice. I kept asking them to explain why they'd poofed me and finally they accused me of submitting inaccuracies! Untrue. The irony is, the only person you'll hear from is the fictional "Anne Parks, V.P." Imagine--serious customer service issues and who responds to you? An imposter! And they have issues about "accuracy"!? I understand why a survey company sends out invitations over a fake name, but not why they hide behind that name when the going gets tough. If that curt, insenstive person is a VP, I'm Joe Biden. I was going to pursue this with the BBB but for the sake of peace, I'll sacrifice the $15 and share here.

half fast and lousy

April 26, 2011 by georgeq from United States

i had been a happy member for several years and when logging in one time, i received a screen "your email can not be found in our data base" message

sent email to acop and recieved a canned form letter reply. next time several days later the same screen appeared and i asked my password be sent to me which it was. upon logging in i got the same email address not in data base

Called today to find out what was going on and they said i had given them too many answers of n/a to their questions and in essence to get lost.

If my email address wasnt in their data base, then they should not have been able to send me the password i normally used. I wonder how much other information about is is kept by them agaisnt our knowledge? i dont trust them.
