Last month the GPT program Clixsense officially become ySense. This change was not just a matter of branding – the website changed ownership and made some significant changes.
What changed rewards-wise
The biggest change to the website is the addition of PayPal as a rewards option. Clixsense used to limit payment options to check, Skrill, Payoneer and Tango Card. Now, ySense offers PayPal, gift cards to major retailers, as well as pre-paid credit cards.
Change in ownership
Prodege LLC now operates the former Clixsense website. If you use GPT programs, you are probably familiar with the name, as Prodege owns many web properties, including Swagbucks and MyPoints. Having had approximately 7 million members before the takeover, the addition of Clixsense to Prodege’s portfolio is a strategic one.
What was removed
Expect to see different offer walls, survey partners, along with aesthetic changes to the website. It appears that ySense is rolling out changes slowly, so with time, there are likely to be more changes with likely parallels to Prodege’s other websites.
Other changes
Because Prodege operates their own research firm (ProdgeMR), expect to see surveys opportunities posted from this new provider. As well, new offers are expected to be added as Prodege has partnerships with major brands including Uber and Tidal.
Short term hiccups
One of the biggest hiccups ySense is currently dealing with is issuing Skrill and Payoneer payments. The administrators have said that they have submitted applications for these payment providers but are waiting for approval. Meanwhile, it is recommended to select PayPal or a gift card for reward redemptions.
