CashCrate (the GPT program) officially shut down on April 1, 2019, however their website was converted into a directory of ways to make money online. Note that when the GPT program portion of the website was shut down, members who had not reached the minimum cashout levels were unable to redeem their balances for a final payment. Cashcrate did not offer to issue a final payment for these balances.
The website in its current state primarily exists to earn referral commissions from users. Proper privacy policies and disclosures are missing from the website. We do not recommend using the Cashcrate website.

Cashcrate was a GPT (get-paid-to) website where you could earn cash for completing offers, doing tasks, and participating in online surveys.
How CashCrate Worked
Upon becoming a member and logging into Cashcrate, you would be presented with a variety of ways to start earning:
- Offers – complete offers and get paid to try new products and signup for free websites and services
- Surveys – give your opinions and earn cash for participating in research surveys
- Shopping - get cashback on the purchases you make at hundreds of different online retailers
- Games, contests, and more – interact with fellow Cashcraters, and earn prizes and points while you socialize and play games. Also get entries to win contests!
- Referring friends – Cashcrate offered a generous multi-tiered referral program. Earn 20% of what your referrals earn, and an additional 10% of what your referral’s referrals earn. These levels increased to 30% of your referral’s earnings and 20% of what their referrals made, if you recruited a large number of new members. Extra cash bonuses were also offered.
Payment and Rewards
As the name implied, Cashcrate awarded cash to its members. A $20 balance was required in order to request a check or a PayPal payment. Payments took around 3-4 weeks to receive. Cashcrate had a Payment Wall gallery where members could upload images of checks and PayPal payments to prove that they really have been paid.
Community Features
Cashcrate came to be in 2002 and had over 2 million members worldwide. Thousands of dollars’ worth of checks were issued monthly (you could view these in their 'Gallery' on their website).
As per the note in red above, Cashcrate discontinued their GPT program in April of 2019. The information pertaining to their GPT program and the reviews listed below are no longer current.

CashCrate apparently doesn't take security seriously. As of 8/14 I have received a CreditWise report of my email and password on the darkweb from CashCrate. CashCrate did not bother with any notification. I discontinued using these guys years ago, very low quality activities and it extends to operations. CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS!!

CashCrate has recently received a handful of messages from our valued members, regarding notification by third parties about a breach of their data originating from CashCrate. Notices were issued via our website, blog, and via e-mail notifications at the time the breach was discovered in June 2017. Additional details about the breach are available here (https://www.cashcrate.com/blog/announcements/potential-security-breach-please-change-your-passwords-immediately/). We take our security very seriously, and we spent a lot of time internally and externally investigating, adding new security procedures and tightening existing ones. We apologize if you did not see the notifications that were sent and posted in 2017 and understand the concern this has caused you.July 24, 2018 by Luke from United States
I have always gotten my check from them so there is no problem there. My problem is they use a whole load of third party survey groups that keep throwing the same surveys at you again and again (probably since they can't fill the quota, but they're still so picky.) A lot of the daily and top surveys tell me they're not available or some other excuse, in which case don't list them. Wish Cashcrate would run their own surveys since they might be more responsible to their members.
Daily surveys just getting pointless. Same TV ad survey comes up that has you take whole way through then claims you timed out. The bonus opportunities pay so low and don't credit half the time.
I actually closed my account a few months ago. I generally wasn't interested in most of the offers especially with having to pick other things on the "path" to be credited. I usually check the video tab when it's up except there's usually nothing available even though that tab isn't supposed to be there unless there is a video to watch. Most surveys go through many questions just to DQ as well as some same surveys that always DQ or can't be completed keep getting put out there since other panels probably can't get the quotas filled either due to over picky clients.

We are glad that you were paid and made some money with us. We are sorry you were unhappy with our service though. We're aware it can be difficult for some people to qualify for surveys but we're always looking for new opportunities and ways to improve survey opportunities for our members. For the offers asking you to pick other things on the "path", there are various free options along the way such as signing up for a newsletter, requesting more information, etc. The Videos Tab would disappear in the past when it had just videos on it. Since then, we have added more earning opportunities to it such as offer walls, and renamed it the Videos & More Tab.

I joined Cashcrate back in 2013. After doing some research and learning how it all works I started making decent money on surveys. I even developed a passion to blog about sites like Cashcrate. Their staff is very friendly and always does an awesome job. They even have live out-of-pocket trivia contests on occasion where they just pay people money for answering trivia questions. They also celebrate your milestones with you. For example, a couple years back I had just earned $2,000 all time with Cashcrate. They created a blog post on their site on my behalf and they let me write about how I got there. How well you do really depends on the effort you put in to learn it and complete the actual surveys. Some people call the email submit offers surveys and anyone who has done this as long as I have know those aren't real surveys because the real surveys do pay and then there are the contests every month just for completing the most REAL surveys found on the "Surveys" and "Best Surveys" tab. In September 2015, I earned $517 and won 3rd place in the contest that month. A few months later, I referred a lady who took first place the month he joined! Not only did she come away with over $400 but I earned $100 in commission just for her performance. It's a beautiful thing to feel good about making money in your sleep because or referrals are making money as well. It's a great experience when you actually put the time in to learn it. The one thing that does make it difficult when it comes to promoting and getting referrals is that their computing system for the stats doesn't work like it used to and I know they are trying to get that fixed. The numbers are miss-categorized and it's hard to show off the payment history when I make posts because the "survey" column says I earned "zero" and that might scare off a potential referral into thinking I am not really making money doing surveys even though I am and it's categorized in a different column. That's the only thing that bugs me. An accurate stat system would make obtaining referrals a lot easier. Overall thought, I have enjoyed the experience and I have earned my elite badge, the highest honor and this month I am in the top 20 of the contest and approaching the $3,000 milestone with over $2,915 earned so that is kind of exciting! =]

I have been working with CashCrate since January 2017. I do check in daily for the 3 cents and then 50 cents if you do it all month. Since I started the Live Sample surveys (runs through One Opinion?) use to be $1/survey and now are only 90 cents. I work hard to find my ten $1 and up surveys everyday. It appears a lot of the surveys pay less today than they did last year. I have always gotten paid with no issues. I was cashing out about $25 a month when I was doing the live sample. As for the list of surveys with high dollar amounts, it's hard to qualify...then you have to go back and find the correct link to get paid. It's a bit confusing. I keep hoping they will raise the rewards back up! For now, I'll give it a 4/5 stars, however if they don't raise the rewards back up on the surveys...well then; you were one of my top sites and I'm hopeful that some positive changes will be made.

We’re glad you’ve been with CashCrate for the past 18 months and hope you’ll continue to make money with us for a long time to come. Unfortunately, survey payouts can be affected by things such as the market rate (what survey providers pay us). Sometimes a survey’s payout will increase, but unfortunately sometimes it can decrease. We are always working to provide members with the highest survey payouts we can, and we also continue to look for more earning opportunities for our members. On a good note, payout for the Pulley surveys was increased above what we were able to pay for those last year. Also, we do have lots of other surveys for you to choose from too, including several other daily surveys. Thanks.April 9, 2018 by Ankita from United States
Cashcrate is a really good website to earn some extra bucks. I have been a member since July 2016 and i make like $400-$600 per month. The surveys are very easy to complete and take anything between 5mins-30mins. I get a weekly payment in the form of check if i reach $100 each week. The cashcrate team is very helpful and answer all my queries. I have heard the referral program is good but i still haven't tried it. I have never missed a payment till date. All and all i am very much satisfied with Cashcrate and would recommend to others who want some extra cash each month.
