Electronic Rewards

Harris Poll offers their members the opportunity to earn points, known as HIpoints in exchange for their participation. Once you earn 1250 points (worth $10), you can request an e-gift voucher from places like Amazon, iTunes, Starbucks, Walmart, ESPN, and more. You may also be entered into sweepstakes after each completed survey for even more chances of winning big.

Get Disqualified, But Still Have a Chance to Win!

If you attempt to complete a survey, but are disqualified in the process, you will receive an entry into the Harris Panel Sweepstakes. You will be also be offered the opportunity to try qualifying for other available surveys.

Survey Lengths

Online surveys typically take anywhere between 5-25 minutes to complete. Short surveys will take around 5 minutes, and very long ones are around 25 minutes. These reasonable survey lengths will keep your attention and prevent you from getting bored too quickly! There are special surveys on offer as well including special focus groups, telephone based surveys, and even surveys about independently downloaded software. Common survey topics, however, range from fashion to movies to shopping habits.

Participate Often

Expect to receive between 3-5 online surveys a month.

Earn Points

Even if you are disqualified from completing a survey, expect to receive around 15 HIpoints! The amount of points you get per survey varies depending on the length or complexity of the survey.

Harris Poll now has an app, available on iOS and Android. The mobile apps will require you to login with your Harris credentials. Using the app allows you to see survey opportunities, take surveys, participate in special research programs and access your rewards. Turn on your notification settings for the app to receive new survey opportunities in real time.

Cashing Out

After you have reached 1250 points, you are able to redeem your HIpoints for e-cards and gift vouchers. Most people who participate, reach this threshold after completing around 10 surveys. Rewards include e-cards or gift vouchers from Amazon, iTunes, Starbucks and more.

Rewards Processing Times

Redeem your rewards and receive them within 15 business days. They will be sent to your e-mail account. Most rewards will be credited to your account within 10 minutes of your participation, but occasionally it may take as long as 24 hours for the credit to appear in your account. If you are redeeming your HIpoints, you will receive your e-code within 24-48 hours of cashing in your HIpoints. If you have cashed in for physical merchandise, you will receive your merchandise via USPS within 7-14 business days. All costs of rewards (including shipping and handling) are covered by Harris Poll, unless you are redeeming products using an e-certificate.

You earn an entry if you have been disqualified for surveys, as well as for actions like participating in short surveys that may not award points. They offer you lame "points that you save up...then the "portfolio" is full of useless junk that you find at a dollar store ( unless you wait for the 30,000 point level and you might get something worth $30 bucks or so....I won't do surveys for a year or more to get to that level.

I have had the same thing happen to me that "MARY" said happened to her. Lost all my points for inactivity! That is inactivity on their part since I never received any surveys for about a year then I finally I contacted them and they told me I had lost all my points due to not responding to surveys. The incentives are worthless now so I guess people are saving up points for anything worth while and I just think this is their way of getting the outstanding balances down so they don't get hit with a big amount of people trying to "cash in" all at once. I know my brother has about a million points and my advise to him is to cash them in before they fold up. Too bad, they had nice incentives in the beginning.

I agree with Mary and Joyce. Same happened to me. I lost my points because of so-called inactivity just because they didn't send me surveys.

They pay no money but upon joining, they gave points for surveys, to be redeemed for gifts. I was working toward one of many in the 800 point portfolio but before I could reach 800, they upped the requirement to 1350.

I finally have 1350 points but now all they have is an icard which I can't use because:

I don't use credit cards, so a gift must not exceed $10 including postage

HP used to cover the postage but no more.

HP provides no link showing what's available. The ad says I can select something from Macy's with this $10 but what?

HP told me this is what their members want, but Harris POLL didn't POLL us nor send an email warning us that we now need credit cards.

I figured they were reputable and answered surveys for years. It took a long time to build up points worth anything. I checked less than a year ago and had over 5000 points. When I checked my account today, I found they had deducted over 5600 points effective 2008 due to survey inactivity, which I have no proof to fight.
They never sent a reminder or notification they were revoking the points, but continued to send me weekly (or almost weekly) surveys and even sent me offers to change my points for contest entries. When I contacted them about the matter, thinking it was an mistake. I received a form email stating 'read the fine print' Do not trust them.
