January 29, 2019 by Wendy from Australia

Did hundreds of surveys across a three month period, got to 5000 points. Went to claim and they terminated my account. I have no idea why. I have emailed them multiple times, no response. SO ANNOYED.

Liars

January 17, 2019 by Talita from Australia

Liars.. that's the only word I can use.
Customers/members honestly fill out surveys, give opinions and get rewards points. Then when trying to cash out the points they cancel your membership saying you have lied during surveys and have several accounts.
Do not bother signing up with them.
I had over $200 that once I tried to cash out got response that I was cheating and my account was cancelled with no possibility to finish the cash out process.

Termination of membership

January 16, 2019 by Guenter from Australia

3 months everything was fine. Then I had collected just over 10000 points worth 100 Dollar Aust. Asked for a voucher of 20 Dollars and no problem. Next day asked again for a voucher of 20 Dollars as I still had just over 80 Dollars available and for which reason ever I was terminated because of violation of the terms...
I definitely did not do anything wrong. Wrote to the panel in September 2018 and also wrote to the „mother company SSI“ and never ever received an answer from anybody to explain what was going on. So I lost just over Dollar Aust 80 to this company. It is my own opinion that everybody, also the companies giving surveys to those panels should be aware what is going on and ask themselves whether those companies can be trusted! For which reason ever now my account is open again and I am thankful for it and will continue to work with this panel hoping that something like this will not ever happen again.

To Be Avoided

January 9, 2019 by Mark from Australia

I was a member of My Opinions for about 5 years. I was always careful to be honest both when qualifying for a survey, and completing one. I was also careful to comply with all their other requirements.
So I was surprised to go to my account one day and find they had terminated it, and I was unable to collect the equivalent of AU$94.00 which I had accumulated. I wrote to them requesting an explanation. They said that my account had been flagged, and as such terminated, but did not give a reason. I continued with several follow up emails requesting that they explain what rules they deemed me to have broken. Each time I received an answer about how they take breaches of their conditions seriously, but never afforded me an actual explanation of what I had done wrong. As such, they also refused to make payment of the $94.00 which is outstanding in my account. I have lodged a complaint with the ACCC hoping that they may be able to demand both payment and an explanation, as because they are operating in Australia they are subject to Australian Consumer Law, of which their actions are in breach.
However, I would advise others just to avoid them all together.
