Opinion Outpost gives everyday consumers the opportunities to participate in online surveys and product tests in exchange for cash rewards and gift cards.

Signing up is free and to do so, simply enter your name, date of birth, zip code and email address on the registration form on their website. After that, you’ll be prompted to confirm your email address before you’re able to begin answering surveys.

Take Surveys and More

Once you've fully registered, you’ll see a “Surveys” link on your main account dashboard. This will take you to your list of available surveys. You can choose to have surveys emailed to you if you prefer.

You also have the option to add additional information (via profile surveys) to help Opinion Outpost match you with more relevant surveys to you.

Sign up with Opinion Outpost to take paid surveys and complete product testing assignments in exchange for rewards. Simply join the site for free and receive invitations to complete online surveys on your computer or mobile device.

You don't have to wait long to get rewarded - if you take a survey worth 50 points, you'll already have enough to redeem a $5 Amazon.com gift card. The following reward options are offered on the site in exchange for participating:

• PayPal payments - with only 100 points (worth $10/£5), you can request that a PayPal payment be made to your account. Bear in mind that only verified PayPal accounts will qualify for payment.
• Amazon e-vouchers - with just 50 points ($5) in your account, you can request an Amazon.com e-gift code.
• Apple Store gift cards - with 100 points ($10) sitting in your account, you can request an app store / iTunes gift card.
• Retail gift cards - with 100 points ($10) in your account, you can receive a gift card to Nike, Domino’s Pizza, The Home Depot, CVS, Chili’s 3-Choice and more.

Super-Fast Rewards Delivery

Opinion Outpost is very unique in that rewards are often delivered instantly after requesting them. It's uncommon to have to wait more than a few minutes/hours to receive a PayPal payment or e-gift card that you've requested, though technically they advertise a 3 day rewards processing period.

Take Surveys Often

Paid surveys will be sent to you on a regular basis. You can also visit the website, log in and find a list of available surveys, giving you plenty of chances to make cash. A typical Opinion Outpost survey takes 10-15 minutes to complete and the number of points you can expect to receive per survey ranges between 5 to 50 points.

Qualifying Questions

Before you begin your chosen survey, you may have to answer a series of multiple-choice questions. These may appear to be irrelevant to the topic of the survey itself, but are a way for researchers to ensure they're receiving responses from the people they're looking for answers from. Sometimes, you’ll be disqualified from taking the survey after answering these, however there will usually be other surveys available for you to take.

Modern, Interactive Surveys

Opinion Outpost offers fun, interactive online surveys that are attractive and simple to take. On top of offering sweepstakes entries, periodically, they offer games at the end of surveys which give you the opportunity to win additional points and/or additional sweepstakes entries. Opinion Outpost App

Opinion Outpost does not offer a mobile app. Although most of their surveys are mobile-friendly and can be completed on your phone, you will still need to access them via your e-mail, or by logging into the website from your phone.

Badges

Opinion Output offers ‘Badges’, which essentially serve as loyalty bonuses. You will start out with a Bronze membership and have the chance to upgrade to Silver, Gold, Platinum or Diamond based on how active you are on the website and how complete your profile is.

As your badge levels increase, additional achievement points are awarded, which can be found on your Survey History page. These will show up as 'community achievement'. Bear in mind that you can be downgraded to a lower tier badge if you don’t remain active on the website.

Quarterly Chances to Win $10,000

If you are in the USA and you get disqualified from a survey, participate in a survey, or exchange your valuable points for an entry, you will have a chance to win $10,000 in a quarterly cash draw. That means that $40,000 in total is awarded to 4 lucky members every year! If you are in Canada, there are also sweepstakes available in the form of 4 quarterly draws worth $1,250 each ($5,000 yearly).

Refer Your Friends to Earn More

Opinion Outpost's referral program will award you $1.00 every time you refer a friend using your custom link and they complete at least one survey. Earn up to $5.00 in total. Find the "refer a friend" tab when you log into your account to grab your custom referral link to share with friends or extended family members (available to US panelists only).

Is Opinion Outpost Legit?

Opinion Outpost is over a decade old and is a legitimate survey site that pays approximately $5 million dollars in rewards to its members every year. This online survey website is a good website if you are looking for gift cards. If you are wanting PayPal it is more of a hassle, you can't just add the money to your PayPal account you have to have a bank account set up or a PayPal credit card which if you can or have a credit card you can get double your rewards. The biggest problem for me is I don't either qualify for many, or if I get pass the pre-screening I usually get bumped due to my demographics. Most days though I can still rack up around 25 points.Overall as a stay at home mom who uses a lot of Amazon gift cards to buy Christmas and birthday presents and parties with I would suggest it. I do however wish they would add a prepaid card option (which I thought I could do with my PayPal account).

I was a relatively new member of Opinion Outpost and loved it at first. There were usually a lot of surveys although once you got so many points each day it felt like they may have been capping the amount coming in. The rewards are good and are very quick to receive. Recently my account got frozen (I see that this is happening to many people as well) and nothing has been done. I have emailed the helpdesk three times, all without response. I have left with a bad taste in my mouth for them and have a feeling that they will not unfreeze my account since reading the other reviews. They are being rude and do not even bother trying to explain what is happening. I am very sad about this all.

[FURTHER UPDATE] After having posted my latest comment on the 28th of May, I get a response on June 9th. Why so long to respond, and why were you unwilling to answer my request for an explanation when I asked on your site on May 12th. I accept that you have the right to suspend/cancel my account, but have the decency to tell someone the reason.

[UPDATE] I had been a member for at least 7 years and really enjoyed taking their surveys. In the last year or two, they have fallen off a cliff. They have you take a survey and DQ you at the end which is a total ripoff, and now, I like many others have had my account frozen due to data concerns. I get the message to email their help desk, which I did three times and have received no response. It is amazing how this site has become one of the worst in such a short time. Avoid it at all cost! The good thing about this site is that there are a lot of surveys available most days and you can qualify for a few each day. The payout is also super fast, (less than a minute). The problem is that it will allow you complete surveys and then disqualify you. It does this often enough for it to be a problem that they refuse to address. The site claims that they do not use your input if you are DQ'd but then why not DQ a person sooner?

I loved Opinion Outpost for years and even recommended it to friends and family that wanted to get into taking surveys. The mix of shorter and longer surveys made this panel stand out and the rewards were fair. They have always had great customer service. In the past few months I have been locked out twice (after not having an issue for YEARS) and I cannot get a response from the Help Desk anymore. It's a shame, this was a really fun panel. I can't recommend it to anyone anymore.

BTW - leaving spammy replies to every single review isn't helping your case Opinion Outpost. It makes you look even worse. You've lost a ton of good people - own up and fix it!

If you are new to or have only been with Opinion Outpost for 2 years or so then you probably won't fully understand. Opinion Outpost used to be a top 5 survey company, they sent your reward money within a day or so (really quick), customer service was responsive, loads of surveys, & etc. I believed that this company was the best survey company for a longtime, so I recommended everyone I knew to this company first, but everything changed through time. I joined them in 2009 and I think the mistake they made was joining forces with Surveyspot and Ipoll in 2012, I was with all three before they merged together and Ipoll and Surveyspot were on a lower level than Opinion Outpost. I realize now that Opinion Outpost (and really all three) all got worst after merging and the company has hit an all time low within the past 1 year. Opinion Outpost now takes a couple of days to pay out, customers service is not as responsive or helpful, and surveys are still hard, if not harder, to qualify for because you have to hurry before the surveyor gets enough responses or you will be disqualified after spending a long time completing the survey. On top of these problems, Opinion Outpost has started freezing peoples accounts forever for violating terms now. I thought I was alone, but I see that, after reading other recent reviews from others, I am not (they seem to be having a system problem where it freezes peoples account for no reason). I have never had my account frozen before, so I was shocked when it was frozen because my survey taking style has not changed. I emailed them about my account and I received a warning. I was told that my account would be completely unlocked after 48 hours, but, then after waiting for 2 days, my account was still frozen anyway (& they stopped responding to my emails). I had to call them twice to inform them of the problem and they finally unlocked my account after I spoke to them. I was told to wait for 2 days again, so I waited for at least 2 days again and found that my account was still frozen. Now, after calling them twice to explain my situation, they said that they won't unfreeze my account again. This is a slap in the face to people, like myself, who have supported them for years.
