Consumers across the world can create an account for free and earn points for answering surveys, as well as other online and offline tasks. These points can be exchanged for an impressive variety of rewards.

Creating an OpinionWorld account so that you can be sent paid surveys is easy. Simply navigate to their registration page and fill out a few basic details. If you prefer you can use your Google or Facebook account to sign up in a matter of seconds

Once you’ve done that, you’re free to start completing tasks to earn points and claim rewards and can find surveys listed in your account, or you can wait for them to be e-mailed to you.

Rewards for Surveys

You’ll earn between 50 ($0.50) and 300 ($3) points for each survey you complete, depending on its length. Some surveys do not award points, but rather, offer donations to charities. These surveys are usually quite short and can be taken on an almost daily basis! You will be notified before the start of the survey, if the survey is offering you rewards (points) or asking for your opinion for charitable donations, before you begin.

Rewards for Watching Videos and Reviewing Advertisements

OpinionWorld gives you the opportunity to earn points by watching videos and offering your feedback on video advertisements. The rewards are minimal, but it’s a nice low-effort addition to the website that you might enjoy and can help you reach your cash out goals sooner.

Real World Missions

Depending on your location, you might be able to earn points by completing ‘real world missions’ while you’re out and about.

Most missions of this nature involve sharing information about shops and other customer-serving businesses. You'll need to connect your mobile device in order to participate.

Redeeming Points

The minimum points or dollars redemption threshold is $10 USD (or equivalent in Canada), unless there is a lower redemption option available for a certain reward. Threshold amounts vary in countries outside of the US and Canada. The points conversion is 100-1. This means that the value of every point is $0.01. So if you have 250 points in your account, it will be worth $2.50 (though this amount may vary if you are outside the USA).

Members who choose to redeem their earnings by PayPal or for an e-gift certificate, often receive their payments instantaneously, or within a few hours. Physical gift cards usually take approximately 2 weeks for processing and mailing.

Survey Lengths

Surveys vary in length, however most surveys take between 10-15 minutes to complete. You can expect to receive paid surveys in your inbox anywhere from once a week to once a month, depending on your demographic profile.

Get More Relevant Surveys

In order to receive more surveys and more relevant surveys, it's highly encouraged to complete the My Profile section in your account with OpinionWorld. These profilers are short surveys, which will better match you to more relevant surveys, and will help you get selected first for surveys that you are best matched for.

Loyalty Program

OpinionWorld offers a loyalty program where it rewards users point bonuses after they have completed a certain number of surveys. Point bonuses can vary per country but can be for amounts such as a 10-point bonus after 10 surveys, a 100-point bonus after 50 successful survey completions, etc.

Opinion World is over a decade old and is a legitimate survey website. Opinion World is not a scam and users around the world are eligible to join the program. As with any survey program however, your experience and success with the website may vary. After many years of thinking this was a good company, I was allowed to finish a survey and collect my points. When I went to redeem them, I received a termination of my account message without a specific reason. I replied to their HelpDesk (per their instructions) and received an automated response but have never gotten a real response. I had accounts with two of their other survey engines (Survey Spot and Opinion Outpost) and those accounts were also frozen. If you become a member here, cash out your points as soon as you can. Don't let them build as if they terminate your membership (which looks to be common practice from reviews), you lose all banked points.

I wanted to provide an update. I worked with the BBB to contact these folks and after challenging them to provide the specific area of their terms and conditions they feel I violated or provide me the funds I had earned, they agreed to open up all my accounts again. I cashed them in and closed my membership with each (Opinion World, Survey Spot and Opinion Outpost). Each were easy to make money with but the surprising termination after providing my opinions for years was too much risk for me. I would recommend that if you are doing business with them, just cash out at every chance you have.

I'm not sure what's happened to this site. It's gone from having lots of paid surveys to very very few.
If you want to do 15 minute surveys for no reward this is the place for you. They just give you prize draw entries or charity donations for your hard work.

5 weeks ago I would have left a rating of 5 stars for opinionworld but now they don't even deserve half a star.

I've been a member for about 2 years now and it was always one of my favourite survey sites. They used to send multiple surveys, almost daily so I was cashing out 2 or 3 times a month and at £10 a time, this was one of my best earners. Surveys were always 50p to £2.50 each. I also received the odd product test too.

Then 5 weeks ago, they stopped sending me paid surveys. Every single survey invitation I received was only for 1 charity donation. I emailed them about it and they replied with something completely irrelevant to what I had asked - I suppose this makes a nice change compared to other sites that don't even bother to reply. It's been 5 weeks since and all they have sent me is those 1 charity donation invites. I will lose the amount I had in my account as they are no longer sending me paid surveys :(.

It's awful how such a brilliant site has changed for the worse and become dodgy. I was recommending this site left, right and centre before but now I would advise you to keep well away from it. I will close my account.

Opinion world was a bit hit and miss for me. I found myself locked out of the panel at least three times in the past year - due to glitches and bugs with their awful system.

A positive is that I would get regular survey invitations and surveys came with good rewards. Over the years as a panelist I would earn on average £150 per year.

The issue is that over the past year, some kind of upgrades or changes to their system resulted in me being locked out and 'blocked' from using the panel when I tried to redeem my points for PayPal incentives.

This took often a week or more to get rectified, response from customer services was really slow and often gave no explanation or apology for why they locked me out. Especially after being a member for around 7-8 years, I found this excruciating and puts me off giving a hard recommendation to others.
