Web Perspectives is the Canadian focused survey panel, sister site to the American panel, Valued Opinions, which is operated by Dynata. The panel was started back in 2004 and has a member base of over 250,000 people. In 2018, the Web Perspectives website updated their look and feel with fresh colors and graphics, as they became a Dynata-run panel. If were already a member, your account information stayed the same through this transfer.

Participate in Exciting Research

As a member of Web Perspectives, you may be invited to any of the following research opportunities: online surveys, focus groups, diary studies, reviewing advertising campaigns and even testing new products.

Earn Points for Participating

Each time you complete an online survey, you will be rewarded with 100 - 500 points. Surveys vary in length and complexity, but usually take 15 - 20 minutes to complete. Points are deposited automatically into your account once you complete a survey. If you have participated in a dairy study or focus groups, points may take up to 6 weeks to be credited.

Redeem Towards Gift Vouchers

Once you collect 1,000 points (valued at $10), you may redeem towards your choice of gift voucher to a variety of top retailers. These include: Amazon.ca, Indigo, HBC, Starbucks, The Source and Cineplex. There is also the option to donate your points toward the Canadian Cancer Society or UNICEF and you'll even receive a tax receipt for your contribution!

Choose Air Miles

If you're a collector of Air Miles Reward Miles, you can choose to receive your reward in the form of Air Miles credited to your account. You will have to provide your Air Miles Collector number in order to receive your miles.

Web Perspectives offers a unique program which involves its more active members collecting "badges" for their level of participation. There are 5 levels that can be achieved with mini tasks that must be completed. The five levels are listed from lowest to highest.

I wish I had a dime for every survey link from Web Perspectives that told me "Answer a few questions to find a new survey". I'd be rich. My guess is that one in 50 invitations leads to a survey. The other 49 give me the find a new survey message.

Pros:
Good rewards
Lots of survey opportunities

Cons:
Very high point levels required for cash out (takes forever)
Lots of getting disqualified after 10-15 minutes of answers with no compensation.
Lots of links that don't result in a survey but a message to find a new survey.

Compared to some other survey sites, you can earn rewards quite quickly through Web Perspectives - that is, if you actually qualify for the surveys. More and more often, I find I am invited to do surveys, then spend as long as 15-20 minutes answering very specific questions and thinking I am doing the full survey (even once participating in a "virtual shopping trip") only to then be bumped out of the survey with a message that I didn't qualify for the survey. I have contacted Web Perspectives about this and to be fair, I was on one occasion compensated for my time, but overall it's frustrating to spend time doing surveys and then receive no points. Also, I do wonder if the information provided in the surveys I apparently "didn't qualify for" is still being collected, as this happens so often now, I wonder if it's a tactic the site has more recently employed. Also, unlike other sites, there is also no compensatory reward for doing a survey you ultimately don't qualify for.

I have been trying to contact Web Perspectives for over 2 weeks regarding redemption problems. The contact page on their site is not working. I've tried their Twitter account and an email address that I had used previously. I can't get a response. My redemptions and contact attempts seem to have gone into some void.
The last time I had a problem and used the contact form they answered within 24 hours and everything was resolved.

*Edit: I managed to contact them through Twitter and my problem was resolved. It took a while but they but we managed to work everything out. I'm very happy that I took the time to reach out, and am very happy with the results.

I joined this site just three weeks ago. I think it may be just for Canadians. In three weeks I have got 3 ten dollar Amazon cards. I normally don't get a lot of surveys because I am a senior with no kids and no money to invest but this one is much better than Tellwut.

Looked at other comments, it seems I am the same situation that they deactivated my account. I played with Web Perspective for many years and for few years I didn't played with them. Now they changed to another corp. I have about 4500 points accumulated there, and wanted to redeem the rewards. I am not able to redeem and an error massage port out, contacted them and no feedback, also there's no surveys available. I doubt they have a difficulties to run the business and unable to let users redeem the rewards.
