YouGov, Branded Surveys

In February, 2022, Populuslive rebranded itself as Y Live.

Y Live, part of Populus Limited, based in the UK, is a popular market research company. The panel was established in 2003 with a presence that has grown to 75 countries worldwide. The panel does research in the business, culture and politics sectors. Joining the community is simple - start by filling out a short and simple registration form.

Payment and Rewards

Earn £1.00 for Every 5 Minutes

Y Live gives its members the opportunity to earn £1.00 for every 5 minutes they spend on a survey. Depending on the length, most surveys pay between 1 to 3 points each (1 point = £1.00) and take usually about 5 to 15 minutes to finish. Please note that rewards will only be credited to your account once the survey is closed. This could range from one day to three months, depending on the research and nature of the study.

Cash in at £50.00

Once you have accumulated 50 points (£50.00) you are eligible to request a cheque or a BACS payment at the next payment date. The payment date is at the end of each month and if you requested a cheque, it will arrive within two weeks after this date. BACS payments typically take a few days to arrive. On average, Y Live issues 3000 monthly cheques to members who have reached the threshold for payment.

Survey Taking Experience

Each time you screen out of a survey - which may happen if you do not meet the required participant profile, you will be automatically entered into the monthly prize draw of £250. The draw will take place on the second Monday of each calendar month and winners are notified within 4 weeks of the draw taking place.

A change for the good.

August 3, 2020 by Barbara from United Kingdom

I have earned several hundred pounds using Populuslive over the years and always found them to make prompt payments. Now they have replaced the cheque payments with a deposit directly into my bank account I like them even more. Would recommend them.

Professional

July 31, 2020 by Darryl from United Kingdom

Of all the survey sites, Populuslive seems to be the most professional and business like. Surveys are sent on a regular but not intrusive basis and you feel confident that your opinion matters. The numerous checks and balances are understandable if a little frustrating if you make a typing error at the end of a long survey. The rewards are fair, transparent and clearly relate to survey length. The percentage of survey completed doesn't seem to have any relevance and could be removed but that is the only minor niggle that I can think of, so that must be a good sign.

Brilliant company

July 26, 2020 by Peter from United Kingdom

Populuslive is a brilliant survey company and I have never had a problem with them. Payment was always sent in a cheque as soon as you got to the payment amount, now you can change it to do a direct payment to your bank account which is even better, in my opinion Populuslive is such a brilliant survey company and are there to help if you ever have a problem and they send a good amount of surveys out to build the payment up quite quickly. Would I suggest doing surveys for this company HELL YES! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend joining the team.

Started off well

July 26, 2020 by Steve from United Kingdom

Started off well, but increasingly there were two issue. Firstly, I'd spend 10 minutes filling the same, extensive screener details time and time again, only to then find out that I'm not applicable to the survey (despite Populuslive having my details and inviting me).

Secondly, the time taken by the surveys was very rarely the time advertised in the advert.
I've received the first £50 payment, but when you add up the time taken by screeners for surveys which don't come to fruition, and surveys which take so long, it's really very poorly paid.
Prepare to be disappointed and frustrated.

Good site

Pay levels are great but wish they would pay out once you get to 50 points, not wait till end of the month and then take nearly two weeks to issue a cheque. Would also prefer PayPal as payment method.
