Compensation Per Survey

Most online surveys will award between 300-500 points; the longer the survey, generally, the more points that are awarded. 1,400 points equates to $1.00. Reward redemptions are for gift cards but vary from country to country. In the USA, the minimum is 35,000, which equates to a $15 gift card. The first survey available to you after registering is worth 2,000 points, which will help you on your way to obtaining your first reward.

Reward Options

YouGov surveys offers a variety of redemption options for members, and these options vary from country to country. Cash payments awarded via PayPal are a way to earn money in some countries, and gift cards are available in most countries. Retailers include Amazon, Best Buy, Apple, Walmart, and more. YouGov branded merchandise is also available.

• PayPal payments - receive a $25 PayPal payment by redeeming 30,000 points. Receive a $50 payment by exchanging 55,000 points or a $100 payment for 100,000 points.
• Amazon gift cards - receive a $25 Amazon gift card in exchange for 30,000 points. A $50 gift card = 55,000 points, and a $100 Amazon card = 100,000 points.
• Additional rewards - Visa pre-paid cards, bank transfers, additional gift card options and merchandise available on a per-country basis.

Rewards Delivery

Cash rewards are issued within 1-3 working days. Gift card rewards take approximately 2-3 weeks to receive after redemption. Gift cards are physically mailed.

Survey Lengths

The length of each online survey varies, but most are between 5-15 minutes long. Surveys are rarely longer than 20 minutes, as this is considered a maximum. YouGov offers paid surveys quite frequently compared to other similar sites. You will receive an email every time a new survey is available. It can be different from country to country, but on average you can expect 5-7 surveys a week.

A big plus for YouGov is that they almost never send you a link to a survey that you then do not qualify for. If you are screened out, you are likely to be matched with another survey.

Quality and frequent enough surveys that are well prescreened—I’ve never been disqualified in years of participating. Variety of interesting topics. Easy payout choices though for maximum benefit it takes awhile.

I believe I may have reviewed before, but I am not happy now. I have participated regularly for quite a while now. I would get surveys often and was happy to provide my opinion. Now that I am closing in on a cash payout, I barely get any surveys at all. If they arrived like before, I would gave had extra Christmas money. Well, it's now after New Years and I have only had one survey for the last 3 1/2 weeks. Not very happy and wondering if they are throttling back to avoid having to payout.

Recently, I redeemed my earned reward points on this site. A week passed and I had not received my reward, I contacted customer service twice over the next two weeks and received no response to resolve the issue claiming my reward. You Gov customer service seems non-existent along with my reward, I would not recommend this site.

I have been a panelist for 10+ years with YouGov and found them to be a pretty reputable company. Lately that is no longer the case. Their support has become non-existent and their surveys are having more issues in them. For example, I completed an hour long survey in November promising 5000 pts but received no credit (on my acct it just says I completed a survey). I immediately wrote YouGov notifying them of the problem. It has now been more than 6 weeks and, despite repeated emails, I've gotten no response. There is also no phone number to call to reach anyone. Then last month I did another long survey promising 3000 pts and I was only awarded 1500 so again I wrote and received no reply. The only response I got was one regarding an Amazon gift card for which I hadn't even written and that didn't have any issue. I'm afraid this company is not doing well and you should no longer consider supporting them until things improve.

I've had nothing but positive experiences with YouGov. I get emails from them regularly with survey invitations. True, it does take much longer to "cash out" your points with them than with most other survey companies that I participate with, but their surveys are generally shorter and not as time consuming. I've always gotten my rewards in a timely manner.

The only reason I didn't leave five stars is because they are still making people wait for rewards to come via snail mail, but that's more of a hassle than a complaint because I've always gotten them.
