Payment and Rewards
Earn e-Rewards
Earn Opinion Points/e-Rewards currency for taking surveys. Exchange your points for gift cards, magazine subscriptions, hotel reward points, and airline points. Choose from over 30 different retailers to redeem gift cards with, including Best Buy, CVS Pharmacy, Walmart, Macy's and more. You may redeem a gift card only once per quarter with most gift card options.
Prizes
e-Rewards can also be redeemed towards prizes. Many prizes come in the form of discounts towards purchasing products and services they provide.
Redeem Your e-Rewards Currency
In most cases, your account will be credited as soon as you complete a survey. However, in some cases the credit may take up to 7 days to appear on your account. Similarly, e-Rewards sends most electronic gift cards immediately upon request (within one hour). Most physical gift cards will be sent out within 4-6 weeks of redemption.
e-Rewards also requires mobile and landline verification in order to redeem your rewards. This verification helps you keep your rewards secure. For data security, they will need to verify your account with a valid US mobile or landline number in order to redeem your reward. Once you provide your number, you will receive a verification code via that number that you will need to enter in order to finalize the redemption process.
You can redeem your e-Rewards Currency/Opinion Points as soon as you accumulate enough to qualify for the reward you desire (the lowest gift card option is $10).

For a while I was immediately getting a rewards selection email after completing a study but the last 7 or so I have not and despite filling out a company inquiry, no resolution

E-rewards has gone downhill a lot. It used to be that I qualified for most surveys, now it's become so difficult. Many times I'll answer a ton of questions, get deep into a survey, and then be be told I don't qualify. Today I completed *97 percent* of a survey and was then told I didn't qualify. So after perhaps five minutes of answering questions I earned a quarter.

Three months ago, E-rewards deactivated my account as well as the accounts of my parents for accessing them while all three of us were on vacation in Russia. Explanation E-rewards provided to all three of us was identical: "the accuracy and attentiveness of your account activity has been flagged, and upon review of your account, we have been forced to suspend your account." The answer was obviously false because deactivation happened within hours of accessing our accounts from Russia and checking the balances without doing any surveys. E-rewards eventually restored our accounts upon review, albeit without giving any apology.
A week ago, E-rewards deactivated my account again. This happened after I submitted a ticket to their techsupport asking to review one of the surveys that crashed in the end and, therefore, failed to give me credit. When one submits a ticket like that, he reasonably expects one of two outcomes: credit for survey is either granted or denied. E-rewards support invented third way: their agent Rita replied to the ticket saying that she deactivated my account. The reason has been worded identically to one we received for accessing our accounts from Russia: "the accuracy and attentiveness of your account activity has been flagged, and upon review of your account, we have been forced to suspend your account". This was an obvious "copy and paste" answer from their operations manual that had nothing to do with actual situation. I sent a few emails trying to correct the issue, but they went unanswered. So, my account is inaccessible and E-rewards pocketed my points worth over 5000 airline miles
I dealt with bad tech support many times in my life, but E-rewards support is undoubtedly the champion here. To put it mildly, it is bizarre and irrational. Is it a crime to access my account while on vacation in Europe? Is it a crime to submit tech support request for the credit due? Apparently, their support thinks it is.
I submitted BBB case against them. They kept insisting that I have a duplicate account. They were completely deaf to any argument I submitted. The fail to show any proof that I violated their rules but kept defending themselves; apparently they were afraid of losing the face in public so they kept denying all accusations but simple referring to non-existent "duplicate account"
For E-rewards, terms like "ethics" and "proper business conduct" are totally foreign. Therefore, E-reward panelists should be aware, that E-Rewards may close their account at any point, take their points and provide bogus explanation as to why it happened.

I earned a Macy's gift card but I received an email telling me I won't be receiving the gift card. I had been with e-rewards for at least 5 years.

I was a member of e-Rewards for a couple of years. Over that time I had gotten a couple of gift cards. About a month ago, I completed a $9 survey but at the end instead of getting the usual conclusion, it said I had completed the survey already (which I hadn’t). I wrote to their customer service and a few days later the response was that I didn’t qualify for the survey but since I had spent so much time on it, they gave me $5 credit. Fine, whatever, I thought. Then a couple of days later, I went to login and the system responded that my account couldn’t be logged into due to inactivity. A glitch I thought. Again, I wrote to customer service. A week and no response, so I wrote again. Today, I received an email that said my account had been indefinitely suspended due to violations of their terms and conditions. I’ve asked for proof of such violations but I’m not expecting a response since there were no violations. As of now, I strongly suggest to stay away.
