Founded in 1999, Global Test Market is an online survey panel owned by Lightspeed Research, a Kantar groups company. Global Test Market is one of the world’s leading providers of market research and serves clients in more than 60 countries worldwide.

They rewarded their panelists more than $30 million+ USD in 2016 alone! As a panelist, you can earn points for completing surveys that can be redeemed for reward items from over 200 partners, redeem your points for cash via PayPal, or donate your points to charity.

Registration Process

Registering is easy, simple and free. Click the registration link where you will be asked simple questions about you and your household. The results are used to determine which surveys you are a good fit for.

Rewards Information

Each survey takes on average 15 minutes to complete and reward amounts depend on the survey length and urgency.

If you are screened out of surveys, you may be entered into a quarterly sweepstakes competition. For each sweepstakes entry you earn, you will be automatically entered into the drawing and if you are a winner, you will be notified via email. Remember to respond before the deadline provided to claim your prize.

LifePoints

For each survey completed, you will receive LifePoints, which you can accumulate to redeem cash and prizes. Each email invitation will alert you to how many LifePoints you will receive for taking the survey. LifePoints expire 3 years after being awarded the points, or after 12 months if there is no activity on the account.

On April 17, 2017, MarketPoints were discontinued and replaced by these new 'LifePoints' at a 1 for 5 conversion rate. Collected points can be redeemed for many different reward options, which may vary, depending on your country of residence. Rewards can be redeemed once you have accumulated 1,100 LifePoints ($10) in your account. Note that if you have a friend that was grandfathered in from the old Points program, they will be offered slightly different points than those who joined GlobalTestMarket after April 2017.

Types of Surveys Offered

Many of GlobalTestMarket’s surveys ask your opinion on movies, restaurant, automobiles, consumer products, current events, and a variety of other interesting and fun topics. You can also download the LifePoints app onto your phone so you can take surveys on your mobile.

Points Expectations

You can expect to earn between 35-250 LifePoints based on the level of complexity or urgency of the survey. Even if you do not qualify for the survey, you may still receive 5 LifePoints..

Option to Give Back

In addition to the great selection of rewards, Global Test Market gives you the option to give back to your community! Unicef charity donations can be redeemed with collected LifePoints.

Refer Your Friends!

You can refer your friends by entering their email when you are signed into your account. If they fill out at least 2 surveys, you also earn points.

Rewards Processing Time

Rewards usually take about 4-6 weeks to arrive if you are in the United States and 6-8 weeks for international panel members.

This company used to take a very long time to earn enough to redeem a reward but they've updated their process and it's much better. There's always a survey or two to take and if you're not going to qualify, you typically find out quickly.

Bonus points, my account was hacked with these folks and points were redeemed. I contacted them and they quickly responded and credited my account the points that were not redeemed by myself. Big customer service win!

This outfit bills themselves as "a fast way to make money online," but clearly not too fast. Take too many surveys or complete them too quickly and they will terminate your account. Those of us who use multiple survey sites are obviously rather more adept at filling out information than those who are just starting out. LIghtspeed has the following clause in the user contract: "Notwithstanding any term of this Agreement, Lightspeed reserves the right, without notice and in its sole discretion, to discontinue or terminate any of the Services, to terminate your license to use the Services, to delete any Panel registrations or other accounts, to delete Points without redemption...." However as Lightspeed treats users as "independent contractors" the company is legally obliged to compensate you for any work that you have undertaken. My advice would be to keep a record of your points earned just in case you are subsequently denied access to your account. Then send Lightspeed an invoice via snail mail for the redemption amount and include additional compliance information as follows. "This invoice is due and payable within 14 days of receipt. A $30 late payment fee will be applied to invoices outstanding after this date. In addition interest at 19.99% APR will be applied to outstanding balances. Invoices unpaid after 30 days will be put into collection." I think that may assist those who have yet to be paid by this, and other similar, companies. You can of course file a claim in the small claims court which would probably result in you getting paid. I've been self-employed for much of my life and there's frankly nothing worse to my mind than a company who tries to withhold monies that are due and payable. Develop a tough skin and pursue cases of malpractice and non-payment vigorously. Best of luck :)

Worthwhile site. When they send a survey its usually live and you qualify. I managed to redeem rewards 5X in one year to get $215! .It seems you should open a survey ASAP recently, some as fast as within 1-4 hours!

I consistently quality on this site at least 60% of the time and surveys are interesting 75% of the time. Site is easy to use and navigate.

I found GlobalTestMarket to be my favourite panel. I was a panelist for around 8-9 years while living in the UK and I will sign up for their US panel since relocating.

I found that I got regular surveys, usually daily. On a wide variety of topics. Sometimes the surveys did get quite repetitive, but the point value was decent, and the regularity allowed me to really build up the points.

Another positive is the ability to redeem points for PayPal cash, giving you flexibility on how to spend your well earned rewards. I averaged around £280 per year in rewards using GTM which was by far the most rewarding panel I was a member of. Double that of the next most valuable survey panel (Opinion World).

I would highly recommend them for their frequency of surveys, the amount of incentive you get and the ability to turn those points into 'real money'! For anyone who relocates, you are required to close you GTM account and then wait a few weeks before reopening an account in your new country!
