Beginning early 2019, Lightspeed shut down GlobalTestMarket in some countries, and merged those members into LifePoints. As of June, 2019, GlobalTestMarket panels and members worldwide were fully integrated into LifePoints.

Founded in 1999, Global Test Market is an online survey panel owned by Lightspeed Research, a Kantar groups company. Global Test Market is one of the world’s leading providers of market research and serves clients in more than 60 countries worldwide.

They rewarded their panelists more than $30 million+ USD in 2016 alone! As a panelist, you can earn points for completing surveys that can be redeemed for reward items from over 200 partners, redeem your points for cash via PayPal, or donate your points to charity.

Payment and Rewards

Registration Process

Registering is easy, simple and free. Click the registration link where you will be asked simple questions about you and your household. The results are used to determine which surveys you are a good fit for.

Rewards Information

Each survey takes on average 15 minutes to complete and reward amounts depend on the survey length and urgency.

If you are screened out of surveys, you may be entered into a quarterly sweepstakes competition. For each sweepstakes entry you earn, you will be automatically entered into the drawing and if you are a winner, you will be notified via email. Remember to respond before the deadline provided to claim your prize.

LifePoints

For each survey completed, you will receive LifePoints, which you can accumulate to redeem cash and prizes. Each email invitation will alert you to how many LifePoints you will receive for taking the survey. LifePoints expire 3 years after being awarded the points, or after 12 months if there is no activity on the account.

On April 17, 2017, MarketPoints were discontinued and replaced by these new 'LifePoints' at a 1 for 5 conversion rate. Collected points can be redeemed for many different reward options, which may vary, depending on your country of residence. Rewards can be redeemed once you have accumulated 1,100 LifePoints ($10) in your account. Note that if you have a friend that was grandfathered in from the old Points program, they will be offered slightly different points than those who joined GlobalTestMarket after April 2017.

Types of Surveys Offered

Many of GlobalTestMarket’s surveys ask your opinion on movies, restaurant, automobiles, consumer products, current events, and a variety of other interesting and fun topics. You can also download the LifePoints app onto your phone so you can take surveys on your mobile.

Points Expectations

You can expect to earn between 35-250 LifePoints based on the level of complexity or urgency of the survey. Even if you do not qualify for the survey, you may still receive 5 LifePoints..

Option to Give Back

In addition to the great selection of rewards, Global Test Market gives you the option to give back to your community! Unicef charity donations can be redeemed with collected LifePoints.

Refer Your Friends!

You can refer your friends by entering their email when you are signed into your account. If they fill out at least 2 surveys, you also earn points.

Rewards Processing Time

Rewards usually take about 4-6 weeks to arrive if you are in the United States and 6-8 weeks for international panel members.

not as good as it used to be

Global Test Market used to be one of my favorite survey panels but over the last few months, I no longer feel that way. I find that after finishing a survey and spending 20 to 40 minutes, I will be scanned out. I am not one to rush or give false answers. This is happening more and more. I also find that I will complete a survey and then get an error page and I get nothing. Their site is often down and I cannot log in. I have 4 tickets in and no reply in over 2 months. I also did a panel for them months ago for 450 points and still nothing and I have given up ever getting the points. Its too bad because they used to be one of my favorites. I have signed up for another survey site and do global test market surveys last if I have time.

I've been a member for years. But for the past year, their customer service sucks. I've been waiting for a reply to any of my 5 tickets for the past 5 months. (I have 5 tickets open because there were 5 different surveys that I completed, that I didn't get compensated for.) I have refused to do any surveys for the past month, and I'm about to close my account. Not worth the aggravation.

Terrible surveys

I left GTM this week. I don't even care if I get my reward. There surveys are 20-60 minutes long and more often than not they will disqualify you after you've spent an hour doing their survey. Surveyor BEWARE.

Long time to reach payout and customer service issues

So been with GTM for a very long time. I noticed more and more I've been disqualifying after I finish the survey itself. Technical difficulties? It started happening more frequently, so I haven't been as active over the past few years as I once was. I'm not a fan of giving 30 minutes of my time just to be told I don't qualify afterwards. In any case, I recently started to take surveys again and up until the last couple weeks things were fine. But all of a sudden, I kept getting an error message every survey I took. I figured for whatever reason maybe I took too many times of trying to retrieve my password and they locked my acct. So I sent them the following message:

User comment: Got locked out of acct (Too many requests). After I tried to log in a couple times and it didn't work I retrieved my password to my email. I tried to log in with that and was taken to a page that simply said Too Many Requests. Any chance of lifting this so that I can continue? Thanks for your help!

This was their reply 5 days later with an "ISSUE RESOLVED" in the email.

So...I cleared my history, cache and cookies. I even unplugged my computer. It had already been 5 days so I retrieved my password once again which was still the same as it had been previously and attempted to log in again. Still was unable to. Received the same error message. At this point I'm getting kind of annoyed. SO many days are going by and nothing is helping. I opened up yet another support ticket with the following message:

This is my second request for assistance. I have cleared my cache, cookies AND history. I have turned my computer off and on again. I have unplugged it from the wall for a bit and then restarted. NOW...for the second time...I CANNOT log in to my account. I put my email. I put my password and it redirects me to a page saying TOO MANY REQUESTS after ONE time of trying to log in. I tried to retrieve my password thinking it did not work. It was the same password I used before. Please try it on your end. It will not work. Please help me? This issue is most certainly NOT resolved?! Thank you for anybody willing to read this and help!

What finally did me in was their last reply 45 minutes after I sent them the above message:

So...I'm done. I am not even for certain a real human being even bothered to assist me at all. I give up. I had a few hundred points in my acct with them, but last I checked you couldn't cash out until you reached 1000 points for $50. So it was a long process regardless.

Anyway...I still can't log in to delete my acct but for whatever reason I've stopped getting survey requests so I guess that is that.
