Up until a few weeks ago myopinions was one of the best survey panels I've been a part of. A few weeks ago my partner went to redeem $10 from his account but before he could redeem it his account was terminated which myopinions said was an accident but they still haven't fixed it. Then I went to redeem $10 yesterday and my account was terminated too, I havent got a reply as to why this has happened yet. I've seen this happen to nearly everyone who has reviewed myopinions online so this is a little suspicious to me.

Like many other reviewers, I also tried to redeem some accumulated points after having filled out surveys for many years. As soon as I did, my membership was terminated without any explanation, and I had apparently lost all the points I had accumulated. I received the error message "Your membership has been terminated as a result of the violation of the MyOpinions Terms & Conditions".
A skeptic might say that they deliberately do this to avoid paying out. If this is the case, then it is outright fraud.
I did follow up with three emails, including threatening to report them to the ACCC. After a week without any reply, they finally responded as follows:
“We are happy to inform you that your account has been restored after a thorough review by our Accounts Department. Your membership was temporarily suspended for your protection as our system detected recent activity from an unrecognized device and/or location, which was identified as a potential take-over of your account. Since you have been able to verify your account information and confirm activity from your account, our Accounts department has reinstated your membership.
Now that your account has been reactivated, please remember to access your account and surveys on the device and location where you registered.”
I do have more than one device, but as far as I can recall have only ever used my PC to enter surveys. In any case why shouldn’t I be able enter using a different device? It seems to me that this a just a feeble excuse and I don’t believe it for one minute.
If this excuse is indeed true, then they should provide a more self explanatory error message, and investigate the circumstances before issuing a blunt termination message.
Use this site at your peril.

I spent many hours of many days doing surveys, answered everything 100% honestly. Go to redeem my $20 into my paypal account but my account got terminated because I apparently violated the terms and conditions. I did not because i was very careful when i read them and how i answered the questions.
Sent an email to their support team who don't even respond

Banned my account when I had tried to cash in a $50 gift card, then couldn't give me a valid reason just some vague copy and paste, proceed with caution

I had completed around 90% of a survey offering $30 worth of points, equivalent to 3000 points, when two days before deadline for completion I was unable to recommence the survey. My Opinions advised that there was a problem with the survey. This was not corrected before the deadline. When I wrote to them saying I was 90% through a four hour survey Rona wrote back saying initially that I had not completed the survey. She then said it was only a two hour survey. I asked if she was looking at the right survey and she said yes despite the survey invitation clearly stating it would last around four hours. Some weeks later she wrote to say that they had reviewed my survey input and said that I had been given around 485 points. They would have been able to see that I had completed 90% and should have earned more points but when I wrote again my message was ignored as have several further messages.
Survey companies need participants to be honest for the results to have any meaning and treating them like this is no way to go about it
