If you're wondering, 'how does MyPoints work?' the answer is simple. First off, it’s free to sign up for MyPoints. Simply enter your email address and desired password on its home page to begin the registration process. Once you’ve completed your profile, you’re free to begin earning points, which can ultimately be exchanged for rewards.

There are a variety of different activities you can complete to earn points (listed below), however the quickest way to earn points is by shopping with one of MyPoints’ 1,900 retail partners. I have been a member of this panel for quite a while. I like that points can be earned in lots of ways - shopping, reading emails, taking surveys. However, the points awarded keep being reduced or eliminated, and the customer service is awful. Don't expect an email reporting a problem to be answered.

The merchant responded to the order inquiry. Unfortunately your purchase was not credited to MyPoints. As MyPoints was not credited with the sale, we are unable to award the Points.
To prevent Point-crediting issues in the future, we recommend the following:
1. Make sure you have tracking enabled. MyPoints needs to send information to the merchant and cannot do so if you've disabled tracking.
2. Make sure you do not have ad blocking software like AdBlock Plus, WOT or Noscript running.
3. Make sure no other tabs or windows are open at the time you're making your transaction.
4. Make sure non-MyPoints toolbars (ShopatHome) or extensions (Ownza button) are not hijacking MyPoints tracking
5. Make your purchase immediately after you click through MyPoints.
6. Do not click on other sites after clicking through MyPoints and prior to submitting your order.
7. Never use coupons or offers not found on MyPoints.com.

12/3 They screwed me out of points for an Amazon purchase (I should have made a screenshot of categories) They won't let me participate in their contests since the locked me out of their Facebook page. They DO NOT LIKE criticism one bit .

Their excuses for not being responsible for outside survey sites is a cop out! When I informed them that I didn't receive credit for the surveys that I've completed, I received a response that said if I continue to complain about it, they will stop sending me surveys. What a joke! Never has a survey site been so disrespectful. I've joined several sites through them & haven't received the promised points for that either. Don't bother complaining about that either. You'll get no results. The only thing you can do is unsubscribe from the ones that you didn't receive your points on. If they say there's no proof that you signed up for it, even when they bombard you with garbage emails, then it must have been a figment of our imaginations & just unsubscribe. Losers!

This site used to be more user friendly with worthwhile "bonuses". I purchased a Groupon through MyPoints with the promise of earning extra points on the money spent on that Groupon. I have never received the points. I have two tickets open for the same complaint but yet no one will straighten it out. For the first ticket, I complied and gave proof of everything they requested regarding my Groupon purchase and I still haven't rec'd the points. The second ticket just told me to not open another ticket for the same issue (I get that - but it'd be nice if they actually took care of the 1st ticket!). They keep telling me to wait 14 days here, 30 days there. It's not that many points, but I won't buy anything through MyPoints in the future, not until they fulfill their "promise" of earning points. To me, this is false advertising.
