Pinecone Research is an invitation-only survey panel, where members can earn rewards for participating in online surveys and product tests. Potential new members must be invited by other members to join, or they must find a join link posted on a website. Reward Types and Amounts

For each survey successfully completed, Pinecone Research awards its members a minimum of 100 points, which equals $1.00 in your local currency. For example, Americans will earn $1.00 USD per survey, Canadians typically earn $1.00 CAD per survey, while Britons earn £1 per survey completion. There are a variety of rewards options that accumulated points can be exchanged for. These include:

• Amazon e-Cards - You can choose to receive an Amazon gift card with your collected points. The e-card will be sent directly to your email account.
• Other Gift Cards - Pinecone Research offers a variety of gift card options including Starbucks, Apple Store, Walmart gift cards, as well as many others. Gift cards may be digital or in physical format and are listed under these categories.
• Merchandise - Pinecone Research offers an extensive merchandise catalog consisting of various small electronics, household items and more. Merchandise rewards will be mailed directly to your home.
• Prepaid Virtual Visas – prepaid Visa cards are available for redemption, however, they may only available to US residents.
Points Value: 100 Pinecone Research points = $1.00.

Redeeming Rewards

To redeem your rewards, simply visit the Pinecone Research website and log in to your account. From there, click the "Redeem" button to access the reward site. Under the SHOP tab next to HOME tab, select the reward items you wish to redeem and once you click on an item you are interested in, click the shopping cart icon to add the item to your cart. Click the shopping cart icon on the right side of the page to complete your order.

Note that PayPal is no longer offered as a rewards option and was replaced by bank transfers.

Earn your First Check/Bank Transfer Automatically

Once you complete your first survey, which is always worth a minimum of 100 points, Pinecone Research will automatically send you a check for $1.00 to the mailing address on your profile, or will ask you to cash out via bank transfer. This is a security measure to establish your profile and account. After your first check/bank transfer (or 30 days of being an active Pinecone member, whichever comes first), you will have the option to choose the form in which you would like to receive your future rewards.

Interesting online surveys are e-mailed to members, and are on a variety of different topics. As a Pinecone Research member, you are part of an elite group that represents consumers and households like yours nationwide. Your opinion is important to manufacturers who count on people like you to help predict which products will be developed and which may not be suited for launch. Paid surveys opportunities usually take about 15 to 20 minutes of your time to complete and you will be notified by e-mail when one becomes available.

Product Testing Opportunities

Occasionally, Pinecone may mail out products for their members to test from home. These may be physical products, or food items that may come delivered in a cooler. A follow-up survey is usually provided as part of the product test. These opportunities are highly sought after, as you may receive free food (or a product that you might be able to keep), as well as a paid follow up survey!

If you prefer to take surveys on the go, you can download the Pinecone Research app onto your iOS or Android mobile device. The app will allow you to view available surveys, take online surveys, view and redeem your points, view your account history and more. Few opportunities lately, but the site always pays on time, and issues are few and far between.

Should have quit using Pinecone last time I had trouble with them. Shame on me, gave them another chance. They are worse now as they divert payments to a third site but will not supply the information to draw from that site. When you try to resolve problems through email, customer service (or non-customer service) sends you to Pinecone website, but they block you from access. I have finally learned my lesson - drop this site. Sadly they still owe me money for about 15 surveys.

Needs to link to bank account first before you can do payout and also after earning $20 they stop giving a survey that matches you.

I was a member of Pinecone for years. I've cashed out through paypal several times. Had products sent to me to test and review and my first online paid discussion survey.
Upon doing all surveys sent to me. I never missed one that was sent to me. The only times were those when the system was temporarily down but not from my end. I was set to participate in my 1st online discussion with other members. Virtual survey/discussion I was so excited because it paid really good. Had all my info for logging into the board which they subcontracted to conduct the discussion. The day before I was to participate I tried to because I was sent a survey to take. And it wasn't working. It said I was no longer a member. I sent an email to "Karen" and never got a response. I told "her" that I was unable to access my account and was about to participate in a online group and needed to know if I should still participate or what and why was my account terminated? Well I debated and pondered well should I go on and take the online discussion or what? Surely if I was terminated I wouldn't be allowed access to the meeting and this is all just a mistake anyway. So I did the online group because if it was just a glitch then I still had my responsibility to honor my commitment. After the online study was over. I tried again to log in. Same response my account was terminated and I was not going to be allowed access to it. Now I'm still waiting on a response from my first attempt to email "Karen". So I check my email and there is a survey invite from "karen" so I say to myself okay it was just a glitch a mistake. I click on the link and NO NO NO... I was once again denied with the same response. I emailed "Karen" again. 2 days later I get s response saying that I was untruthful in my responses to my demographics to their clients. I replied with I'm sorry I don't know what you mean I haven't lied about anything to you or you clients. The email also informed me that I agreed that if i was ever untruthful that i forfeited all of my already earned points and I would be terminated without explanation. Now knowing that I had at least 30 dollars in points already I wouldn't lie about anything because I need the money especially now. I asked for a copy of those responses I gave that they say I lied about. 3 days after that I get a response of we do not have that information but you were untruthful and we can't give you anything. When you were untruthful to our clients you forfeited any and all points that you had or would've made. And I am unable to reinstate you to the panel because of your responses. At this point I'm extremely livid. I am being accused of lying, I an being denied my earnings that I worked for. So if you're my"boss" and I work for you don't you legally have to pay me? And if I was such a liar then why was I allowed to participate in another survey after I was supposedly no longer a member? Why did you wait and respond after I did the online interview? All I know is I was falsely accused and then stripped of my position and pay without proof of my wrong doing only their word. They know I can't afford a lawyer to fight them but I sure hope I can get out the word that greed doesn't discriminate. The upstanding companies that you put your trust in allow this to happen. I'm disappointed and hurt in the way I was treated and used. I still haven't been paid and probably never will. But I know one thing. I know I didn't lie I was faithful to that company for years. And I was tossed out in the snow without a coat or boots. I just wanted what I worked for nothing more and nothing less. But what I got was a slap in the face and a dose of reality. No matter how much of a reputation a company has they will still do you the same way if you allow it. They can have the money I still have my dignity but they can't say the same. Read all the fine print
I never read that if I were to be untruthful I would be stripped of my pay and my membership without even a warning or even a call or email hi Mrs....... we are sorry to inform you that we no longer like you and we kicked you out. So no need to log in because you can't. No I had to buy them to get that answer or any response whatsoever.
