Founded in 1999, Global Test Market is an online survey panel owned by Lightspeed Research, a Kantar groups company. Global Test Market is one of the world’s leading providers of market research and serves clients in more than 60 countries worldwide.

They rewarded their panelists more than $30 million+ USD in 2016 alone! As a panelist, you can earn points for completing surveys that can be redeemed for reward items from over 200 partners, redeem your points for cash via PayPal, or donate your points to charity.

Registration Process

Registering is easy, simple and free. Click the registration link where you will be asked simple questions about you and your household. The results are used to determine which surveys you are a good fit for.

Rewards Information

Each survey takes on average 15 minutes to complete and reward amounts depend on the survey length and urgency.

If you are screened out of surveys, you may be entered into a quarterly sweepstakes competition. For each sweepstakes entry you earn, you will be automatically entered into the drawing and if you are a winner, you will be notified via email. Remember to respond before the deadline provided to claim your prize.

LifePoints

For each survey completed, you will receive LifePoints, which you can accumulate to redeem cash and prizes. Each email invitation will alert you to how many LifePoints you will receive for taking the survey. LifePoints expire 3 years after being awarded the points, or after 12 months if there is no activity on the account.

On April 17, 2017, MarketPoints were discontinued and replaced by these new 'LifePoints' at a 1 for 5 conversion rate. Collected points can be redeemed for many different reward options, which may vary, depending on your country of residence. Rewards can be redeemed once you have accumulated 1,100 LifePoints ($10) in your account. Note that if you have a friend that was grandfathered in from the old Points program, they will be offered slightly different points than those who joined GlobalTestMarket after April 2017.

Types of Surveys Offered

Many of GlobalTestMarket’s surveys ask your opinion on movies, restaurant, automobiles, consumer products, current events, and a variety of other interesting and fun topics. You can also download the LifePoints app onto your phone so you can take surveys on your mobile.

Points Expectations

You can expect to earn between 35-250 LifePoints based on the level of complexity or urgency of the survey. Even if you do not qualify for the survey, you may still receive 5 LifePoints..

Option to Give Back

In addition to the great selection of rewards, Global Test Market gives you the option to give back to your community! Unicef charity donations can be redeemed with collected LifePoints.

Refer Your Friends!

You can refer your friends by entering their email when you are signed into your account. If they fill out at least 2 surveys, you also earn points.

Rewards Processing Time

Rewards usually take about 4-6 weeks to arrive if you are in the United States and 6-8 weeks for international panel members.

They are reputable and always pay, but their extreme pay decrease is really unprecedented since 2014. Seems like they are really greedy, 40% decline is way too much I find myself alienated from doing surveys with them now.

UPDATE: Quit panel. Not going to take a 50% decrease since 2013 they must be comedians lol. I work hard at work and doing surveys after/before work, tiring my hands for current points is pathetic. They should've raised points like 10% since 2013 to keep up with inflation not cut 50%.

Like many others I am very disappointed with the dramatic turn GTM took this summer. All of a sudden survey that used to pay well pay almost nothing and they increased the amount of points needed to cash out. If you are willing to take surveys for fun and care less about rewards, this is for you. If you are doing this because you believe you contribute valuable work that should be mutually beneficial to the survey company and to you, this is not for you. It is too bad because they used to be a great company that paid well.

Global Test Market used to be pretty good and reliable. Now I'm screened out of 90% of surveys, points needed to redeem has been upped, and in a flash 300 earned points disappeared overnight. I keep a very close tally on points earned. Contacted them 3x but no response. What's happening?

Many of you must have stumbled across GTM that's claimed to have been paying for many years. NOT ANYMORE!

Like the other disgruntled reviewers here, I have joined their panel for several years and have been paid numerous times.

However, they stopped sending me surveys all of a sudden without any notifications. I thought it was an account deactivation due to inactivity so after sending in an email, the CS told me that my account violated the "Good Faith" clause when I clearly didn't do this.

Knowing that arguing with them is fruitless, I asked if I could start afresh with a new account. Turned out to be a BIG NO from them. Not only they closed my account by falsely accusing me of fraud, they are prohibiting existing banned members from rejoining.

TL;DR: GlobalTestMarket is no more a trustworthy site as it bans members silently, always citing fraud reasonings when clearly they aren't true. Avoid it at all costs!

At one time they were great. I cashed out a few times for anywhere from $250 to $400. They merged with an unreliable site named lightspeed and have gone downhill. For instance if you don't qualify for a survey they send you the following:

This survey takes about 5 minutes.
Your reward for completing it: 5 MarketPoints
They still offer this survey, it never worked and never will because it doesn't exist.
Secondly 70% or more of their surveys are up to 20 minutes for entries into some ridiculous sweepstakes. Anyone care to waste their valuable time feel free and get nothing in return . There is absolutely NO SUPPORT. Anytime you contact them with a problem they will send you a form email saying they will get back to you. Clue: don't hold your breath I have only received one reply form them and that was over 4 years ago when they were one of the best. They also are a part of a merger that turned out badly. They send many surveys out but as I mentioned earlier most are for sweepstake entries. Another clue: Powerball at 175 million to one has better odds.

I forgot to mention that when they merged with Lightspeed they also merged with OTX the Internet ripoff. Lightspeed changed to lightstream and prior to the merger both Lightspeed and GTM were really great, but as with all mergers the good part vanishes
