How Toluna Influencers Works
Create an account for 500 free points
With Toluna Influencers, creating an account takes only minutes. To create an account, answer a nine-question survey about yourself; your name, date of birth, gender, country of residence, zip code, desired password and mobile number (this is optional). Confirm your account by clicking the e-mail link and receive an instant 500 point credit to your account.
Take interesting surveys to earn rewards
Toluna offers their members surveys every day that are on a wide array of subjects including large consumer brands, your habits, and the environment you live in. Your opinions will directly impact companies and how they market, distribute or advertise new products and services to consumers like you.
Fill out the profilers for more points
When you first log into your account, you will be asked to complete the profile surveys (though this is optional). These short surveys are designed to help better match you to surveys so that you're primarily sent surveys you will qualify for. For every completed profile survey you complete, you will be awarded 100 points. You can update your profile surveys every 6 months to earn more points.
Payment and Rewards
How to Redeem Points
Upon joining and completing surveys and participating in games and other point-awarding activities, you will be credited with points. Once you have earned a minimum of 30,000 points ($10.00 worth), you can redeem your points for a selection of prizes.
Rewards Options
Toluna Influencers offers an extensive rewards catalog. When you're ready to request a cash out from your Toluna Influencers account, click the Rewards button and choose from a wide variety of options:
- PayPal payments - with 65,000 points in your account, you can request a $20.00 PayPal cash payment.
- e-Gift cards - choose from a wide variety of digital gift cards, including Amazon, Boston Pizza, Apple, Starbucks, and many more. Gift cards can be redeemed with as few as 30,000 points ($10.00).
- bitcoin - receive $30 USD in Bitcoin in exchange for 114,000 points, awarded via mybitcards.

Upon requesting a reward, it can take up to 3 weeks for it to be delivered. All rewards are digital in nature (PayPal or bitcoin cash and e-gift cards), so ensure you monitor your inbox closely after requesting a reward to ensure you don't miss it!

Start taking surveys
The Surveys tab in your account will display a list of online surveys ready for you to fill out. You can choose to view surveys by Priority Surveys (which are recommended for you), Quick Surveys (short surveys), or by Premium Surveys (surveys that award more points than usual).
Every survey will display the estimated length of time it will take to complete, the topic of the survey, as well as how many points you will receive for completing it. Some surveys may offer a unique experience such as being a video survey or a diary style survey.
Points Earned Per Survey
The number of points you will earn per survey completion will vary and is based on things like the length and complexity of the survey. However, successful online survey completions typically award anywhere from 15 - 50,000 points each, and special surveys could offer even more.
Points Expiry
When points are credited to your account, they remain valid for 16 months. If after this period your points have not been used, they will automatically expire and be deleted from your account. Your points will not expire all at once; instead, points will expire 16 months after you originally earned them, so be sure to regularly redeem your points for rewards.

Additional ways to earn points
Besides participating in online surveys and referring friends, you can earn points by participating in the following activities:
- Quick Votes - participate in the quick daily poll to earn an easy 15 points and see how fellow community members have voted! Also called My Sponsored Polls.
- Games - play fun games such as answering trivia questions to earn bonus points.
- Spin the Daily Wheel - every day, you can spin the daily wheel to win up to 1000 free points. There are 8 different spots on the wheel which you can land on: Better luck next time, 40 points, 80 points, 100 points, 200 points, 300 points, 500 points, and 1000 points. This is a great way to easily earn free points.
Refer-a-friend program
Under the 'Refer-a-Friend' tab located in the Account section of your dashboard, you will find your unique referral link which you can share with friends and extended family to invite them to the Toluna community. This site used to be a good one, with survey opportunities almost daily. Now there are rarely any surveys and most are either closed or you do not meet the requirements. One of the worst things about them is that points expire. I have almost 6,000 points expire. No email or any type of indication that the points were going to expire. It took me almost 6 months to get those points and now they are gone. Absolutely ridiculous that points should expire. Also the rewards are the worst. Pay Pal used to be easy to get with less points, now you have to have almost 100,000 points to get $30 in Pay Pal rewards. Also they have some of the worst incentives of any survey company, no Visa or Mastercard and everything is egift cards, no physical cards. After I get enough points to get a $15 gift card, I will be closing my account. It should not take six months or more to get a $10 gift card. I find more money on the street that I do with the survey site. I would suggest to stay away from this survey site. You are better off picking up change on the street.
Update: I repeat there was NO NOTIFICATION about points expiring, no pop-up email or anything else to let me know about points expiring. Totally a false statement from Toluna Influencers. Just stay away from this survey site. Another update had more points expire in July 2021 and no email or notification was given. Even more points expired and Toluna deducts them at the beginning of the day, if the points expire on the 28th, they expire at 12:00:01am in the morning. They do not expire at the end of the day. They are LIARS.

The community platform unique to this site is a good breeding ground for harassers and bullies. Philippine Community Managers do not take reported complaints seriously and only take actions such as deletion of inappropriate posts and comments and still continue to allow specific member to stay despite the inappropriate behaviors and continued breached of the Terms & Conditions. No protection for other members from miscreant members on the site.

I don't normally write these types of reviews but as seems to be the case with others on here my account has been terminated with no reason nor explanation and I have had said account for over a decade. If the implication is that I "went too fast" then considering you screen out of 80% of surveys or get the nice error message "it's not you it's us" on at least half of them that you do qualify for then that's actually hilarious. Maybe I screened out too quickly? They kept the 10000 points that were remaining in my account and of course you have no way of challenging their assertions. They can keep the 10000 points as it's simply not worth the hassle of dealing with them any more.

I had (emphasis on "had") been a member of Toluna for a very long time.
That is until very recently when I tried to cash out my points for a reward after finally accumulating enough to get something worthwhile.
Instead, the remaining survey invitations in my email failed to work, and I was unable to login to the website.
When I contacted support, they said I had been terminating for taking less time than estimated to complete surveys.
So apparently, if you can read quickly, can type quickly, or for some other reason complete a survey quicker than they estimate, you'll get terminated with no explanation and no recourse. You forfeit the few points you've earned, which means they get paid by their clients anyway and you don't.
I see others have had the same problem recently.
If you're wondering whether you should join, don't waste your time. There are plenty of other panels I've found (through Survey Police) that have better rewards and better support.
Edit 1: It's been almost 3 months since I submitted my review, and about the same amount of time since "Katy" said she would investigate the issue and follow up. However, no one has posted an updated reply to my review, I still cannot login to the site, and I have not received any kind of email or other contact surrounding the status of my account.
Edit 2: I stand by my previous statement (and my rating): if for any reason you can complete a survey quicker than they expect, you'll get terminated with no recourse. You forfeit what little you've earned, and they get paid anyway.

Thank you for your update, Terry.Our customers demand a high quality of data we gather on their behalf, and, for this reason, multiple quality checks are set in place throughout questionnaires (such as the algorithm that detects speedings), to help us identify and eliminate invalid answers.
These filters allow us to reward only those members who have passed all checks, as otherwise the responses are not considered valid and, consequently, are not used in the research. Toluna itself is not paid by the client for answers that do not meet the quality standards.
When the number of quality flags in an account reaches a certain point, the account will be suspended by our Data Quality team as we cannot continue to send our clients information that does not help with their researches.

It took ages to accumulate enough points. I finally applied for my reward 2 months ago and it states Processed a month ago but I still have not received the voucher. I messaged CS through the app asking if it had been posted and not only did they not reply, since then I haven’t been able to access new surveys despite getting email notifications that there’s a new survey available. They must have done something to disable my access to surveys.
Going by this and the many bad reviews I just discovered about Toluna, it’s apparent that this is an extremely dishonest company. They take your time filling out surveys but have no intention to pay you for your time, don’t waste your time working with them!
Edit: they replied and said the voucher was posted (didn’t give the date WHEN posted) and is not their responsibility if it doesn’t reach me, then whose responsibility?! Mine?! Come on, this is 2021, posts don’t just go missing, I just posted a small metal item 2 months ago to a different state by regular post & envelope and it still arrived, how can a flat paper voucher just go missing? Why would anyone want to steal a normal flat letter? They said will credit back my points but only this ONE time, in future if it happens again it’s not their problem. What a dishonest and irresponsible company. And my app still can’t access surveys - seriously dodgy, fishy company.
Edit 2: After 3 weeks not getting any surveys in my app I finally completed a 4000 point survey and another short one (as they told me to accumulate enough points to redeem 3 vouchers and they will send by registered post) but lo and behold many hours later my points balance still hasn’t changed, nothing was credited to my account. How is a company able to be so openly deceitful and get away with it?? I see that Toluna has started responding to all the bad reviews claiming that it’s just one-off issue or not common practice, don’t be fooled, if so many people are experiencing the same issues think twice before you believe them! Liars and narcissist company.
Edit 3: Wish I could attach screenshot... just finished another 4000 point survey, took an hour to complete and right at 99% after clicking the last question the error message appears “it’s not you it’s us... error occurred with the survey loading... please try again later.”
Even if you try again later you can’t access the survey. THIS HAPPENS ALL THE TIME NOW. They are taking your time and collecting data for free with no intention to pay you.
**Of course Toluna is going to reply with some rubbish excuse, don’t believe them. They are total liars and cheats.
Edit 4: Toluna emailed me after my 3rd edit with some rubbish statistics of my account - screened out 16 times, 9 incomplete surveys (what nonsense, I’ve never not completed any survey, it was always technical errors), and qualified only 4 out of 29 surveys. Anyway they offered me 8000 bonus points as apology and asked me to edit my review, can you believe it?! They think they can just bribe their way out of their wrongs, just proves that this company is run by people with no morals. Well I used the points to redeem vouchers this time sent by registered post and I am done with them. Please everyone don’t waste your time with this DISHONEST company.

Based on the details you shared these are just routing errors, in which case your participation was properly recorded and you will receive the points for those surveys. When you get an error at the very end of a survey, that’s usually a routing issue between our client’s platform and our platform, however, if you finish the survey, there’s no reason to worry as your participation will be properly tracked and once we get the data from our clients, it will be validated.
I'd like to reassure that we aim for a seamless survey experience for our influencers and all our teams work toward this on a daily basis, but unfortunately, errors may happen on any digital platform and we can’t control the surveys hosted on our clients’ platforms either.
We do a variety of surveys for many clients. Some of these surveys are programmed by us, others are programmed by our clients and hosted on their systems. A major factor in technical issues is that survey respondents are using a wide variety of operating systems, browsers, Internet connections, etc and not all of these are necessarily compatible with the technology of a particular survey. And, of course, sometimes, human error is a factor. If you encounter a technical problem with a survey, usually, by waiting a while and trying again later, the problem will be resolved. If the same error persists you can report it to us and we will do our best to resolve it.
